Maintain a set of drawings on which authorized changes are noted, and deliver to the Local Public <br />Agency upon request, but in any event at the completion of the project. The cost of this item does not <br />include any survey costs which may be needed. <br />e. Prepare the Final Construction Record and Final Estimate as required by the Indiana Department of <br />Transportation and the Local Public Agency. <br />13. Reports: Furnish to the Indiana Department of Transportation and the Local Public Agency at periodic <br />intervals, as required, progress reports of the project, including the Contractor's compliance with the approved <br />construction schedule. <br />14. Progress Estimates: Prepare progress estimates for periodic partial payments to the Contractor and deliver to <br />the Local Public Agency and Indiana Department of Transportation for review and processing. The payments to <br />the Contractor will be based on estimates of the value of work performed and materials complete in place in <br />accordance with the contract. <br />15. Project Responsibility: The Project Inspector will be responsible for the documentation of pay quantities and <br />estimates, and the maintenance of appropriate records related to the construction of this project. <br />16. Work Schedule and Suspension: The consultant's crew will be required to regulate their work week to <br />conform to the contractor's hours in accordance with the directions of the Indiana Department of Transportation's <br />Area Engineer. If work on the construction project is suspended and all matters concerning contract compliance <br />and administration are complete, the services of the consultant may also be suspended without cost to the project. <br />17. Contract Administration: The CONSULTANT will administer the contract in accordance with Indiana <br />Department of Transportation's procedures. <br />Please note that for any of the construction observation tasks which CBBEL may be performing, the Contractor(s) <br />shall be informed by the LPA that neither the presence of CBBEL field staff nor the observation and testing (if <br />any) by our firm or sub -consultant of our firm shall excuse the Contractor in any way for defects discovered in the <br />work. It is understood that CBBEL will not be responsible for job and site safety on this project; job and site safety <br />shall be the sole responsibility of the Contractor(s). CBBEL does not have the right to stop work and will not <br />advise/schedule/coordinate/supervise the Contractor(s) nor the Contractor(s) means and methods of their work and <br />we shall not be liable for the results of any such interpretations or decisions rendered in good faith. Construction <br />observation services provided by CBBEL staff shall be limited only to and for general compliance with the <br />Contract Documents, Plans and Specifications. <br />Basis of Fee Estimate: <br />It is assumed professional construction engineering services will be initiated on March 15, 2018, with project <br />completion no later than August 24, 2018. Our fee estimate is also based on the following assumptions: <br />• One full-time construction inspector will be provided for 22 weeks at an average of forty (40) <br />hours per week plus project management, administrative assistance, and meetings. CBBEL. will <br />notify the City if the Contractor's schedule dictates changes to the inspection schedule. <br />• An additional 270 hours have been anticipated after August 24, 2018 based on the forty-five (45) <br />day INDOT close-out procedures to finalize paperwork and close-out the project. <br />• K&S Engineers, Inc. has been included as a sub -consultant to provide project support and <br />material testing. An estimated 160 hours have been anticipated to complete the services provided <br />by K&S Engineers. K&S Engineers is a DBE consultant. <br />• All submittal reviews or requests for information will be directed to the Design Engineer. <br />20 <br />
