Steel Rigid Metal Conduit:
10' and 20' lengths
Couplings produced
in-house
Conduit threaded
on both ends
Coupling supplied on
one end, color -coded
thread protector on
other end
Accurate circular
cross section with
uniform wall thickness
Interior surface free
from defects injurious
to conductors
Hot -dip galvanized
OD and ID
Contains recycled steel
F'S
beslgned for Quality and Efficiency
At Wheatland Tube, we leverage our
experience and the latest technologies
to provide a consistent quality product
with on -time deliveries. We manufacture
rigid metal conduit from mild steel strip
in our CW and state of -the -ark ERW
mills, with the industry's leading
hot -dip galvanizing process for OD and
ID corrosion protection. Our complete
In-house production capabilities and
quality control programs provide
consistency In production.
Green and Sustainable
Rigid metal conduit contains recycled
steel content of various amounts,
depending on the steel manufacturing
process, and provides decades of
reliable service If properly maintained,
Conductors may be easily removed
and new conductors or cables inserted.
Future circuits may be added In the
same conduit, as permitted by the code,
At the end of its life, the steel may be
Fully recycled.
Tested and Certified for Safety
Our rigid metal conduit Is Listed to UL
Standard for Safety for Electrical Rigid
Metal Condult—Steel, UL B. Rigid metal
conduit is manufactured In accordance
with ANSI' G80.1, UL-6 and federal
specifications WW-C-581. The pitch of
rigid metal conduit threads conforms
to the American National Standard for
Pipe Threads, General Purpose (inch),
ANsi/ASMr= 131.20.1. The taper of threads
is 3/4 inch per foot (t in 16). Our steel rigid
metal conduit provides protection from
severe physical damage, the highest level
recognized by the code, for cables and
conductors. Rigid metal conduit reduces
exposure to electromagnetic fields,
shields against harmful electromagnetic
interference and Is recognized as an
equipment -grounding conductor by
NPPA 70. National Electrical Code 250.118
(2). Email lnfo@wheatfand.com for a
copy of Georgia Tech's Grounding and
ElectroMagnetic interference (GEMI)
Analysis software.
