The
boxes are climate controlled and ventilated. The "boxes"
will be transferrable to future truck chassis.
Representation of the Box Truck
Project V.A.L.O.R. Veterans will work
with our shelter dogs in a setting that allows them to socialize with one another, learn coping skills and provide
enrichment to our shelter animals.
Good Dog Tech: Proactive Solutions for Problem Pups
We are hoping to make a positive difference in our community in the way it
views pet ownership. Starting in 2017,we have teamed up with a certified
trainer from Well Balanced Dog, West Todd,to host pet ownership training
classes. Every class will be divided into three parts: Dog Theory, Dog Husbandry,
and a Question &Answer session. There is a minimum donation of$20 per class Good gogTech
and a waiver must be signed prior to participation. Classes are limited to just
20 people per class.
Proactive Solutions For Problem Pups
Dog Fighting Prevention Seminar
In February 2017, our staff attended a seminar hosted by the Humane Society of the United States to learn ways to
prevent dog fighting. We learned what types of items we can watch for in yards that may be indicative of dog fighting.
Project H.E.A.L. (Heart, Education, Achievement, Leadership)
p,GC y
In addition to helping animals in our community, we also want to help our neighbors .' '.-9
through Project H.E.A.L. At the shelter,we will be working with at-risk youth to teach
shelter dogs basic manners. This training will encourage humane education, compassion
and empathy. Not only does this educate and help our youth, it is great enrichment for dl,
a
our dogs and will increase their chances of being adopted.
Achie i
1300 County-City Building, 227 W.
