Technical Data Sheet <br />�i►S'i�i�'jr'�ir�Ls <br />Pavement Products & Equipment <br />PRODUCT DESCRIPTION <br />SAFE RIDE BICYCLE <br />LANE COATING SMT158 <br />Safe Ride Bicycle Lane Coating is a 100%Acrylic <br />Self-Crosslinking Polymer Emulsion designed as a <br />highly durable pavement color coating. Safe Ride is <br />fortified with specifically graded aggregate providing <br />a textured surface for slip -resistance and added <br />durability. Safe Ride bicycle lane coating meets the <br />Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) <br />requirements for Green color night time and day time <br />chromaticity ratings. Safe Ride is a single component <br />ready -to -apply product. <br />RECOMMENDED USES <br />Safe Ride is primarily designed for bicycle lanes on <br />asphalt streets and roads. Safe Ride provides a Safe <br />Zone for bicyclists on city streets and other high <br />traffic roadways. <br />COVERAGE <br />Typically one gallon of Safe Ride Bicycle Lane Coating <br />will cover approximately 50 square feet per coat. <br />Two to three coats are recommended for optimum <br />durability and performance. <br />SURFACE PREPARATION <br />Surface must be clean and free from all loose material, <br />dirt, grease, and oil. <br />COLOR <br />Bright green. Meets the Manual on Uniform Traffic <br />Control Devices (MUTCD) requirements for Green <br />color night time and day time chromaticity ratings. <br />APPLICATION EQUIPMENT <br />Spraying is the preferred method of application.A <br />textured spray unit is recommended. Safe Ride can <br />also be applied by brush or roller. <br />MIXING PROCEDURES <br />Safe Ride is ready to use. Stir material thoroughly <br />before applying. <br />APPLICATION <br />For optimum performance and durability, apply a <br />minimum of two coats of Safe Ride Bicycle Lane Coating. <br />REVISED 12/13/16 <br />Allow first coat to dry thoroughly before applying <br />second coat.
