What this does is give weight, as they go forward looking for federal funds or <br />requesting additional dollars. <br />Councilmember Karen White stated that she had the opportunity to speak briefly with <br />Commissioner Andy Kostielney who was pleased that the Common Council would have the <br />opportunity to have their voice heard, because the four (4) prong test that the federal government <br />is looking at to get any kind of match is very competitive, and the more voices heard from the <br />communities affected, the better. <br />Committee Chair Jo Broden stated, He had committed to coming to present tonight, as a board <br />member, and I would suspect that the next thing would be for the Common Council to follow <br />suit and do a similar resolution to bolster our support of this and other projects that are proposed. <br />Committeemember John Voorde made a motion to send Bill No. 16 -87 to the Common Council <br />with a favorable recommendation and Committeemember Randy Kelly seconded, which carried <br />by a voice vote of four (4) ayes. <br />With no further items on the agenda, Committee Chair Jo Broden adjourned the meeting at 3:46 <br />p.m. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Broden, Committee Chair <br />
