Committeemember Gavin Ferlic made a motion to send Bill 52 -16 to the full Council with a <br />favorable recommendation. Committeemember John Voorde seconded the motion which carried <br />by a voice vote of four (4) ayes. <br />Bill No. 53 -16: 331 Wayne Street Rezoning <br />Committeemember Gavin Ferlic made a motion to continue Bill 53 -16 until November 28tH <br />2016. Committeemember John Voorde seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of <br />four (4) ayes. <br />Bill No. 54 -16: 1037 Elmer St. Rezoning <br />Keith Chapman, Area Plan Commission with offices on the 11th Floor of the County -City <br />Building, served as the presenter of this bill. The petitioner is requesting to rezone from SF <br />Single Family to MU Mixed Use. On site currently is vacant lands. To the north are single family <br />homes. To the east are single family homes. To the south and west are businesses zoned MU <br />Mixed Use. Mr. Chapman provided images of the property which are on file with the City <br />Clerk's Office. This comes to the Council from the Area Plan Commission with a favorable <br />recommendation, rezoning this property would allow for the expansion of an existing business. <br />With the appropriate buffering, the business will be a positive asset for the neighborhood. <br />There was no petitioner for this bill. City Clerk Fowler stated she would make sure to contact the <br />petitioner to see if they would be able to make it to this evening's full Council meeting. <br />Committeemember Gavin Ferlic made a motion to send Bill 54 -16 to the full Council with no <br />recommendation. Committeemember Jo M. Broden seconded the motion which carried by a <br />voice vote of four (4) ayes. <br />Substitute Bill No. 41 -16: Commerce Center PUD Rezoning at 401 E. Colfax <br />Committee Chair Davis distributed a letter to the Committee. He stated they are asking for <br />information to be submitted by the Administration to receive more updates on the rezoning. <br />Everything submitted by the Administration and Mr. Mathews will be online. There have been a <br />number of letters both in favor and in opposition to the bill. Committee Chair Davis detailed the <br />reports that they have received so far from the Administration. We still need to receive a letter <br />from the Mayor related to this bill. A notice will be sent out with all the information we still need <br />to receive. Right now it is scheduled for hearing on November 10, 2016 and we could vote that <br />night or delay until the first meeting in December. We still have a lot of information we need to <br />receive from a number of parties. <br />
