2524 <br />3/27/72 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried the matter of <br />removing the crossing signals was referred to the Engineering Department <br />for investigation and report. <br />LETTER FROM PASTER WILLIE COATS <br />The following letter was presented: <br />931 W, LaSalle <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Board of Public Works: <br />I would like permission to have service at 4:30 P.M. to 5:30 p.m. <br />on the porch at 931 West LaSalle on Saturday evenings. And also <br />on the corner of Washington and Michigan Streets at 1:00 p.m. Saturday <br />evenings to 2:00 p.m.. I'm from the Emanuel Church of Deliverance, <br />415 West Lasalle. <br />s/ Paster Willie Coats <br />am Missionary White, <br />Thank you very much. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request <br />to hold service on the porch at 931 West LaSalle on Saturday from <br />4:30 to 5:30 p.m., but denied the request to hold services on the corner <br />of Washington and Michigan Streets. <br />ON <br />A statement was presented for providing general supervision of the <br />construction on the Wastewater Treatment Plan Improvement, in the <br />amount of $30742.78. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the <br />statement was referred to the Engineering Department to check <br />PROGRESS PAYMENT No. 6 WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT ADDITION <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried the Board approved the payment <br />of Progress payment No. 6 for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Additions <br />in the amount of $137.570.95. <br />CHANGE ORDER - TOPICS PROJECT <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried the Board approved a change <br />order, relative to catch basins, on the TOPICS pr®ject TX8775. <br />LETTER FROM MARCH OF DIMES <br />A letter was received from Gary T. Algie, Executive Director of the <br />March.of Dimes requesting approval for two changes in their Walk-A-Thon <br />route. In the event of extreme weather an alternate short route wo6ld <br />be used as indicated on a may enclosed. In the Interest of safety and <br />to assure that the walkers finish before dusk all late registrants will <br />be transported by then to'where the bulk of the walkers have progressed. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried the changes were approved by the <br />Board and the Clerk was directed to so inform the Police Chief. <br />CAR FOR VEHICLE FOR PARKING METER DEPARTMENT <br />The Parking Meter Department informed the boa0d, by letter, that they <br />are in need of a new station wagon for the department, for which funds <br />have been budgeted. The Clerk was directed to advertise for bids for <br />one Station Wagon, as per specifications received, with bids to be re- <br />turnable on April loth, 1972. <br />
