REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 27, 1983 <br />279 <br />APPROVE PROJECT CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 (FINAL) AND PROJECT COMPLETION <br />AFFIDAVIT - MONROE PARK PHASE III LANDSCAPING'(HUNZIKERS, INC.) <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Hunzikers, Inc. has submitted <br />Change Order No. 1 (Final) indicating that the contract amount <br />be decreased by $2,388.45 for a new contract sum including this <br />change order in the amount of $34,549.00. Additionally submitted <br />was the Project Completion Affidavit indicating the new final <br />cost. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. <br />Hill and carried, Change Order No. l (Final.).and the Project <br />Completion Affidavit were approved, subject: to the filing of <br />the appropriate three-year Maintenance Bond. <br />REQUEST TO CLOSE ALLEY FOR AUCTION REFERRED (JULY 21, 1983) <br />In a letter to the Board, Mrs. C. Hoffer, 223 South St. Peter <br />Street, South Bend, Indiana, requests that the alley, the <br />length of her property, running east and west off of South <br />St. Peter Street be blocked for one-half day on Thursday, <br />July 21, 1983. She is having a public auction at 3:30 p.m. <br />on that date and the group that is serving lunch will need <br />the space for their equipment. Upon a motion made by Mr.. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above <br />request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO CONDUCT ETHNIC FESTIVAL <br />PARADE REHEARSAL (JULY 1, 1983) <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Ms. Mikki Dobski, requested <br />.permission for the Central High School Alumni Band to rehearse <br />for the Ethnic Festival parade utilizing William Street as <br />previously approved. It was noted that similar requests <br />for rehearsal were approved on May 23, 1983 and June 13, 1983 <br />and that no problems have occured. Mr. Leszczynski advised <br />that Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager, Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting, has reviewed this latest request and recommends <br />approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was approved. <br />APPROVE ETHNIC FESTIVAL BOOTH APPLICATIONS <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Ms_. Mikki Dobski presented the <br />final recommendations for food, craft and display booths for <br />the Ethnic Festival and recommends approval. They are as follows: <br />FOOD BOOTHS: <br />Young I1 Kim (Michiana Korean Church) <br />Dank <br />Tony Miranda (Sati-Babi) <br />Mary Allen (Family) <br />George Macri (Macri's Italian Bakery) <br />James & Ann Puzzello (Puzzello Italian Food) <br />El Campito. Inc. <br />Hung Tran <br />Terry O'Rogers/Tom Clancy <br />Timothy Grauel (American Turners) <br />Total food booths to date: 43 <br />CRAFT BOOTHS: <br />Sherry & Bob Harke (Tiara Exclusives) <br />Donna Mariarty (Country Creations) <br />Shirley LeDonne <br />Total craft booths to date: 48 <br />
