REGULAR MEETING September 28, 2015

Jesse Davis – P.O. Box 10205, South Bend – I brought up the issue for the extra monies for salt.
I just want you guys to look into that. Apparently we didn’t get a bid put in properly or at the
wrong time that’s why we have to spend some additional money even though they are saying it’s
a little cheaper. Please look into that, find out who dropped that ball and didn’t get the bid in to
the State Consortium on time and properly.

Jason Banicki-Critchlow – 3822 W. Ford St., South Bend – A lot of times people find
government to be unresponsive or at least that is a common complaint they find that things don’t
get done that they ask. I would like to say the exact opposite in my experience in front of your
guys this year. I brought up several issues, the Clerk’s Office not getting the minutes up for 2014
they are starting to go up so I just want to say thank you for that progress. I brought up issues in
the district and had brought up issues in the dispatch center, last week there was a meeting with
the dispatch head. Low and behold he couldn’t answer and he’s resigned. I heard other people
bring up concrete sidewalks, they were repaired within two weeks. I appreciated the way you
guys help us. The ways you go above and beyond. When we bring issues you do address them,
that you do look into them, that you do help us out to the best of your abilities. I think sometimes
the simple thank you’s go over looked. Since we do have our police chief in waiting, I’d like to
say congratulations to Scott Ruszkowski on the record.

Samuel Brown – CUBG 222 Navarre St., South Bend – I am looking forward to the new police
chief that's going to be sworn into office pretty soon. By trying to turn the city back around and
make the neighborhood safe again, I think with the rash of shootings, deaths, drug house, we
need to sit down with the new police chief and try to get our neighborhood back in the hands of
the citizens of South Bend. I am looking forward to that. I am going to give him all the support
that I can. I am asking the Council to do the same.

ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Council, President Tim Scott adjourned the
meeting at 11:28 p.m.

ATTEST: ATTEST:

____________________________ ____________________________
John Voorde, City Clerk Tim Scott, President
44
