Councilmember Oliver Davis <br />seconded the motion which carried by a roll call vote of nine (9) ayes. <br />16 -54 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, ACCEPTING AND <br />CONFIRMING A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND <br />REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION DETERMINING THAT <br />THE TAX INCREMENT FOR ERSKINE VILLAGE TO BE <br />COLLECTED IN THE YEAR 2017 MAY BE ALLOCATED TO <br />RESPECTIVE TAXING UNITS AND OTHER RELATED <br />MATTERS <br />Councilmember Gavin Ferlic, Chair of the Community Investment Committee, reported that they <br />met and send this bill forward with a favorable recommendation. <br />Beth Leonard, Community Investment with offices on the 14th Floor of the County -City <br />Building, spoke as the petitioner and presenter of this fill. This bill allows the City to release the <br />increment for Erskine Village. The reason the TIF was set up was exclusively for the payment of <br />bonds. The City has enough cash to pay those bonds leaving the TIF unnecessary.
