172 REGULAR MEETING MAY 28, 1991 OF NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LETTER CARRIERS TO CONDUCT INTERSECTION SOLICITATIONS FOR MDA - AUGUST 18 1991 Ms. Stephanie Santos, District Director, Muscular Dystrophy Association, 112 North Main Street, Mishawaka, Indiana, requested permission, on behalf of the South Bend Branch of the National Association of Letter Carriers, to conduct the annual Tag Day for Jerry's Kids by conducting intersection solicitations on August 18, 1991 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the following locations: 1. Ireland and Miami 2. Edison and Ironwood 3. Lombardy and Western 4. Twyckenham and Lincolnway East TO CLOSE THE 500 BLOCK OF BIRDSELL FOR BLOCK PARTY - JULY 20. 1991 Ms. Mary Crawford, 513 North Birdsell, South Bend, Indiana, submitted an Application for Use of and Blocking of Access to Public Right -of -Way for a Party or Similar Event, requesting that the 500 block of Birdsell to Fassnacht be closed for a block party on Saturday, July 20, 1991 from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m. TO UTI_LIZE JEFFERSON STREET PARKING GARAGE FOR HAMFEST - JUNE 22-23, 1991 Mr. Wayne Werts, 1889 Riverside Drive, South Bend, Indiana, advised the Office of Community Affairs, that he would like to utilize the Jefferson Street Parking Garage on June 22-23, 4:00 p.m. I Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the above referred to requests be referred to the appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS TO ASSESS THE MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT NEEDS AT THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT In a letter to the Board, Mr. John J. Dillon, Director, Division of Environmental Services, requested that the Board advertise for the receipt of Proposals to assess the maintenance management .needs at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. These bids would be obtained from professional engineering companies familiar with projects as such. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that their request be approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried.
