<br />the Quotations and found that the amounts agree with the amounts
<br />read at the Board meeting except for L.L. Geans and Sons which
<br />contained a arithmetic error resulting in a difference of $4.00
<br />between the amount read and the new computation.
<br />Further, Mr. Littrell recommended that the Board award the low
<br />Quotation submitted by McIntyre and Jones, Inc., 2526 West Sixth
<br />Street, Mishawaka, Indiana, in the amount of $23,220.25.
<br />Additionally submitted at this time was the Construction Contract
<br />for this project. Mrs. Mueller made,a motion that the Quotation
<br />be awarded and the Construction Contract be approved and executed.
<br />Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried.
<br />REQUESTS REFERRED:
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Mueller
<br />and carried, the following requests were referred to the
<br />appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and
<br />recommendation:

<br />HISTORIC DISTRICT YARD SALE - SEPTEMBER 18, 1993
<br />Mr. Paul Hayden, 914 Lincolnway West, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />submitted to the Board an Application For Use Of And Blocking
<br />Of Access To Public Right -of -Way For A Party Or Similar
<br />Event, requesting that LaPorte Street be closed from West
<br />Washington to, West Colfax, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on
<br />Saturday, September 18, 1993, for the Historic District Yard
<br />Sale to be conducted in the 100 block of North LaPorte.
<br />OF FIRST AME ZION CHURCH TO CLOSE CAMPEAU STREET, FROM
<br />FRANCES TO EDDY, IN CONJUNCTION WITH CHURCH SAUSAGE AND
<br />CORN ROAST - AUGUST 28, 1993
<br />Mr. Wendell Preston, 1258 Portage, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />Chairman of the Trustee Board, First AME Zion Church,
<br />requested permission to close Campeau, from Eddy to Frances,
<br />from 9:00 a.m. to dusk on Saturday, August 28, 1993 in
<br />conjunction with the Church's sausage and corn roast.
<br />FOR REPLACEMENT OF STREET LIGHT AT 812 GOLDEN AVENUE WITH ONE
<br />HOLLOWSPUN POST AND OCTAGONAL JUNIOR LUMINARY
<br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. J. Edward Talley, 1081
<br />Riverside Drive, South Bend, Indiana, requested that the pole
<br />mounted mercury vapor street light currently located at 812
<br />Golden Avenue be replaced with a Hollowspun post and
<br />octagonal junior luminary, lens, refractor and lamp. Mr.
<br />Talley noted that installation shall be twelve inches (1211)
<br />south of the property line of 808 Golden Avenue, and one-half
<br />(1/2) the distance between the Golden Avenue roadway (east)
<br />curb and the public sidewalk (west) edge. Electrical current
<br />for this new installation will be from the existing street
<br />light circuit.
<br />OF SINAI SYNAGOGUE TO REMOVE PARKING RESTRICTIONS IN THE
<br />VICINITY OF THE SYNAGOGUE AT 1102 E. LA SALLE, IN CONJUNCTION
<br />WITH HIGH HOLY DAYS - SEPTEMBER 16-17 1993
<br />Mr. Jeffrey New, President, Sinai Synagogue, 1102 East
<br />LaSalle Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, requested that the City
<br />remove the parking restrictions in the vicinity of the Sinai
<br />Synagogue located at 1102 East LaSalle Avenue, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, in conjunction with High Holy Days as follows:
