<br />Ms. Janice Hildabridle, 5002 Cedarwood Lane, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, advised that the Coalition of Hoosiers Encouraging
<br />the Ethical Treatment of Animals (CHEETA), would like to
<br />conduct a 10K Walk-a-thon to benefit Farm Sanctuary, a
<br />national non-profit shelter for abused farm animals. Ms.
<br />Hildabridle stated that the Walk-a-thon would be conducted on
<br />Sunday, October 3, 1993, beginning at 12:00 noon at Pinhook
<br />Park. The participants will proceed down Riverside Drive to
<br />the duck pond at Leeper Park and then return to the starting
<br />point. It is anticipated that approximately ten (10)
<br />individuals will participate in this event.

<br />Ms. Marie Bergman and Ms. June Fox, 2401 Union Avenue, South
<br />Bend, Indiana, submitted to the Board an Application For Use
<br />Of And Blocking Of Access To Public Right -of -Way For A Party
<br />Or Similar Event, requesting that Union Avenue, from
<br />MacArthur to Solomon, be closed from 12:00 noon until 8:00
<br />p.m. on August 22, 1993, for the annual neighborhood block
<br />party.

<br />BIATHLON -
<br />Mr. Philip A. Newbold, President and Chief Executive Officer,
<br />Memorial Hospital of South Bend, 615 North Michigan Street,
<br />South Bend, Indiana, advised that Memorial Hospital/Health
<br />System is interested in holding another biathlon beginning at
<br />8:00 a.m., on Saturday, September 11, 1993. The proposed
<br />biathlon involves a 3.1 mile (5K) run, followed by an 18.6
<br />mile (30K) bike race, followed by the same 3.1 mile (5K) run.
<br />All proceeds from this event will benefit the HealthStart
<br />Children's Clinic. Mr. Newbold submitted with his
<br />request a
<br />proposed route for this event and advised that approximately
<br />three hundred (3.00) individuals are expected to participate.

<br />INTERSECTION SOLICITATIONS FOR MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY - AUGUST 1.
<br />Ms. Stephanie Santos, District Director, Muscular Dystrophy
<br />Association, 112 North Main Street, Mishawaka, Indiana,
<br />requested, on behalf of the National Association of Letter
<br />Carriers Branch #330, permission to conduct intersection
<br />solicitations on Sunday, August 1, 1993, from 11:00 a.m. to
<br />3:00 p.m. at the following intersections:

<br />2. Lincolnway East and Twyckenham
<br />Ms. Santos noted that the National Association of Letter
<br />Carriers were the first national sponsor of the Muscular
<br />Dystrophy Association.
