1- 79 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JULY 5, 1994 <br />and 2611 <br />West <br />Jefferson Boulevard, it has been recommended by the <br />various <br />City <br />departments and bureaus that have reviewed this <br />request <br />that <br />the property be offered for sale. Therefore, Mr. <br />Caldwell <br />made <br />a motion that the appropriate Resolution which has <br />been prepared <br />be adopted. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which <br />carried <br />and the following Resolution No. 29-1994 was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 29-1994 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />DISPOSING OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana, has compiled a current detailed inventory of all <br />real property owned by the City of South Bend; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has reviewed said <br />inventory of real property and it finds that certain of the <br />parcels of real estate now owned by the City of South Bend are not <br />necessary to the public use and are not set aside by State and <br />City laws for public purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works finds that each of <br />the properties described below has an assessed valuation of less <br />than $2,000.00, that the cost of maintaining said parcels equals <br />or exceeds the estimated fair market value of the parcels, and <br />that the highest and best use of the parcels is sale to an <br />abutting landowner. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works now wishes to take <br />the necessary action to make it possible for the Board, in the <br />future, to sell said parcels of real estate pursuant to State <br />statutes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public <br />Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />1. That the parcels of real estate owned by the City located <br />at 2602, 2607 and 2611 West Jefferson are not necessary to <br />the public use, are not set aside by State or City laws <br />for public purposes, that the cost of maintaining said <br />parcels equals or exceeds the estimated fair market value <br />of said parcels and the highest and best use of said <br />parcels is sale to an abutting landowner. <br />ADOPTED this 5th day of July, 1994. <br />SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/John E. ACTIVITY <br />Addendum I modifies the "Cost Categories" for this activity. <br />
