<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on
<br />June 13, 1994, to HRP Construction, Inc., P.O. Box 266, South
<br />Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $216,264.00 for the Stephenson
<br />Mill Apartments Site Development project, a Construction Contract
<br />in said amount was being submitted for Board approval. Upon a
<br />motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried,
<br />the Contract was approved.
<br />Additionally, Ziolkowski Construction, Inc., 1005 South Lafayette,
<br />Box 1106, South Bend, Indiana; submitted the Construction Contract
<br />for the Haney Street Sidewalk, Curb and Approach Repairs -
<br />Southeast Partnership Center Service Area Project. The bid of
<br />Ziolkowski Construction, Inc., in the amount of $43,409.85 was
<br />accepted by the Board on June 13, 1994. Mr. Caldwell made a
<br />motion that this Contract be approved. Mr. Leszczynski seconded
<br />the motion which carried.
<br />APPROVE PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT - SOUTH CHAPIN DEVELOPMENT
<br />AREA DEMOLITION - 230-232 AND 24.0-242 CHAPIN STREET AND 736 W.
<br />WAYNE STREET
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Warner and Sons, Inc., P.O. Box 87,
<br />Elkhart, Indiana, has submitted the Project Completion Affidavit,
<br />for the above referred to project, indicating a final cost of
<br />$26,860.00. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by
<br />Mrs. Manier and carried, the Project Completion Affidavit was
<br />approved.
<br />AWARD BID - SIDEWALK, CURB APPROACH, RAMP AND TREELAWN
<br />IMPROVEMENTS - PUBLIC WORKS PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM
<br />In a Memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director,
<br />Division of Engineering, advised that on June 27, 1994, the Board
<br />opened four (4) bids for the above referred to project. Mr.
<br />Littrell noted that he has reviewed the bids and found the amounts
<br />correct as read at the meeting. Mr. Littrell further noted that
<br />this project is divisible.
<br />Therefore, Mr. Littrell recommended that the Board award to the
<br />following low bidders in each of the five (5) geographic zones
<br />that were specified:

<br />Mr. Caldwell made a motion that this recommendation be accepted
<br />and the bids be awarded. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion
<br />which carried.

<br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, informed
<br />the Board that he has reviewed the five (5) bids received on June
<br />27, 1994 for the above referred to project and found that the
<br />amounts are correct as read at that meeting. Therefore, Mr.
<br />Littrell recommends that the Board award the low bid of Torok
<br />Excavating & Demolition, 54195 Burdette Street, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, in the amount of $69,183.00. Mr. Caldwell made a motion
<br />that the bid be awarded as recommended. Mrs. Manier seconded the
<br />motion which carried.
