REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 9, 1995 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said equipment may be transferred or sold at public auction or private sale, without advertising. Caldwell, Member s/Jenny Pitts Manier, Member REQUEST REFERRED Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following request was referred to the appropriate Bureaus and Departments for recommendation: - TO CONDUCT RED RIBBON MARCH - UNITED COMMUNITY AGAINST DRUG AND ALCOHOL ABUSE In a letter to the Board, Ms. Gladys Muhammad, United Community Against Drug and Alcohol Abuse, 914 Lincolnway West, South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to conduct a community - wide Red Ribbon Day march, on Friday, October 27, 1995, beginning at 10:00 a.m., on the designated route as submitted. APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS CORBY STREET LIFT STATION - PROJECT NO 95-68 In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Roberto Flores, Environmental Services, requested permission to advertise for the sale of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Flores stated that this project will add monitoring and telemetry to the Corby Lift Station that will communicate to the Wastewater Plant. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the request was approved. APPROVE CONTRACTOR BONDS Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following Contractors Bonds be approved as follows: BOND OF CONTRACTOR David Whitaker Approved retroactive to September 27, 1995 Findley May Jr. Approved retroactive to October 2, 1995 Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bonds be approved as outlined above. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. FILING OF MONTHLY NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION REPORT - SEPTEMBER 1995 Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of the monthly Neighborhood Business Development Corporation for the month of September, 1995, as submitted by Mr. Sam Mercantini, Executive Director. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the report was filed as submitted. APPROVE TITLE SHEET - CORBY STREET LIFT STATION - PROJECT NO. 95-68 Mr. Caldwell advised that the Title Sheet for the above referred to project was being presented at this time for execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the above referred to Title Sheet was approved and signed.
