REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 23, 2000 <br />APPROVAL OF GRANT OF EASEMENT - INSTALLATION OF SIGNAGE - MEMORIAL <br />HOSPITAL - ENCROACHMENT OF PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY <br />Mr. Carl Littrell stated that the above referred to Grant of Easement is for the installation of three <br />(3) hospital signs encroaching into the public right ofway at 615 North Michigan Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Gilot and carried, the Grant of <br />Easement was approved. <br />APPROVE WASTEWATER DISCHARGE PERMITS <br />In a Memorandum to the Board, Mr. Ken Zmudzinski, Pretreatment Coordinator, Division of <br />Environmental Services, submitted the following Wastewater Discharge Permit and recommended <br />approval: <br />1. Clark Refining, Inc. <br />2322 South Michigan Street <br />South Bend, Indiana 46614 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the Discharge Permit was <br />approved. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Ms. M. Catherine Roemer, City Controller, submitted claims in the amount of $2,146,270.35 dated <br />Octoberl6, 2000, and $1,795,361.07 dated October 23, 2000 and recommended approval. It was <br />noted that the claims dated October 16, 2000 were approved October 16, 2000, pursuant to <br />Resolution No. 100-2000. Additionally, Mr. Juan Manigault, Executive Director, WDS ofNorthern <br />Indiana, submitted lists containing claims in the amount of $351,232.80, $39,422.73 and $39,609.15 <br />and recommended approval. Community and Economic Development submitted claims on behalf of <br />the St. Joseph Housing Consortium and recommended approval. It was noted that the claims for the <br />Housing Consortium were approved on October 17, 2000, pursuant to Resolution No. 100-2000. <br />Ms. Roemer made a motion that the claims be approved and the reports as submitted be filed. Mr. <br />Gilot seconded the motion which carried. <br />PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR <br />Mr. Jim Freeman, Wightman Schaeffer, was present, and requested the Board approve the Title Sheet <br />for the Organic Resources Subdivision. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Roemer <br />and carried, the Title Sheet was approved. <br />It was noted that the Board of Public Works will hold a Special Meeting on Monday, October 30, <br />2000, at 9:30 in the Board of Public Works meeting room. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, <br />seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the meeting adjourned at 10:20 a.m. <br />1 <br />
