This process included, but was not limited to, the gathering of information on the parcels to be added, and an estimation of costs associated with the acquisition and redevelopment of these properties. This process has been completed, and its findings presented to the Commission. Attached to this memorandum is Resolution No. 2552, which is a Declaratory Resolution to amend the Development Plan for the Airport Economic Development Area . This Declaratory Resolution begins the process to amend the Development Plan to allow for the acquisition of these three target areas. Staff believes it would be of public utility and benefit to amend the Development Plan by adding these properties to the acquisition list and allowing these acquisitions. Staff requests Commission approval of Resolution No. 2552. Upon approval by the Commission, resolutions will be put before the Area Plan Commission and Common Council for their approval, before a Public Hearing and Confirming Resolution would be presented to the Commission for final approval. Approval for advertising for the Public Hearing is also requested of the Commission. Advertising would be done after approval from the Common Council is granted. What We Do Today Makes A Difference!
