On March 20, 2009, the Commission approved Staff to begin the process to add Hansel Center, 1045 W Washington St, to the acquisition list of this Development Area. This Declaratory Resolution begins the process to amend the Development Plan to allow for the acquisition of the Hansel Center for the proposed reuse of the building as the Notre Dame Center for Art and Culture. Staff believes it would be of public utility and benefit to amend the Development Plan by adding this property to the acquisition list and allowing this acquisition. Staff requests Commission approval of Resolution No. 2580. Staff also requests Commission's approval to advertise on May 29t" for the Public Hearing for the Confirming Resolution proposed for hearing at the regular Commission meeting on June 19t". Advertising would be subject to approval of a Resolution by the Area Plan Commission on May 19t", and the Common Council on May 26t" Whaf We Do Today Makes A Difference!
