<br /> <br /> <br />FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: <br />February 11, 2009 <br /> <br />Downtown South Bend’s St. Paddy’s Tent Party & Pub Tour Moves <br />To New Location <br /> <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA – Kick-off the St. Patrick’s Day weekend in downtown South Bend on Friday, <br />March 13, as Downtown South Bend, Inc. (DTSB) along with Presenting Sponsors; Baileys, Bushmills <br />and Bud Light present the sixth annual St. Paddy’s Tent Party & Pub Tour from 5:00 until <br />11:00 p.m. Other sponsors for this year’s event include: Major Sponsors- Harbor Sports & Cycle, <br />Transpo and Ziebart, Media Sponsors- Comcast Spotlight Cable, WRBR 103.9 “The Bear” and Night <br />Lights T.V., Shamrock Sponsors - Hoosier Dads Music and <br /> Red Bull. <br /> <br />This year the Tent Party & Pub Tour will be located in the 300 block of south Michigan Street near the <br />corner of Wayne and Michigan, west of One Michiana Square.“The Tent Party was not only moved to <br />accommodate a larger crowd but will also bring the excitement of the event to the south end of <br />Michigan Street for the first time,” said Marco Mariani executive director of Downtown South Bend, <br />Inc. The new location places the Tent Party just south of many popular downtown entertainment <br />venues and closer to garage and surface parking options. <br /> <br /> A popular tradition in Downtown South Bend, the Tent Party drew well over 3,000 visitors last year. <br />Open only to those 21 years of age and older, there is a $5 admittance fee into the event. The Bear’s <br />own radio personality Tommy Carroll will serve as DJ- host of this year’s event and will also broadcast <br />a live show from the Tent Party from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The Tent Party will feature two popular bands: Take Aim will begin playing at 5:30 p.m. with <br />headliner Still Shot taking the stage at 8:00 p.m. Both bands play a popular mix of classic and <br />contemporary rock cover songs.
