RESOI,UIION NO. 2559 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICA"PION FOR REAI. PROPERTY TAX DEDUCTION WI II;REAS,I.C. 6-l .1-12.1-2(I) provides that an application for property tax deduction may not be approved when the property is located in an allocation area as defined in LC. 36-7-14-39, unless the Redevelopment Commission which designated that allocation area adopts a resolution approving that application; and WHEREAS, the South Bend Common Council has received a petition for up to (5) iivc years oCreal property tax abatement consideration from Royal IIoldings, lac. d.b.a. Royal Adhesives for real property located at 2001 West Washington Street in the Wesl Washington-Chapin Development Area, the development area location and legal description of which are attached hereto, marked F,xhibit "A" and incorporated herein; and WHEREAS, this Commission declared the West Washington-Chapin Development Area by Resolution No. 818, adopted October 23, 1987, and iu the same resolution declared the Wcst Washington-Chapin Development Area Allocation Area (South Bend Allocation Area No. 7) and WI-II~REAS, the property located at 2001 Wcst Washington Street is located within West Washington-Chapin Development Area Allocation Area; NOW, TIIEREFORE, BL; I'I' RESOLVED by the South Bend Redevelopment Commission as follows: 1) The Commission finds that the application from Royal Holdings, Inc. d.b.a. Royal Adhesives for up to (~) tivc years ofrcal property tas abatement consideration for property located at 2001 West Washington Street in the West Washington-Chapin Development Area Allocation Arca should be and is hereby approved. 2) That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the South Bend Common Council to indicate the Commission's approval of the petition ic~r real property tax abatement for Royal IIoldings, Inc. d.b.a.
