RESOLI,~TION NO. ?>?8 A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION SETTING PROCEDURES FOR CON~I~RAC~fS FOR PROPERTY RELATED SERVICES W'I IEREAS. LC. ?6-7-14-1?? provides that the Rcdc~~clopment Commissio^ may acquire. hold, use. sell. exchange, lease, rent or othen~~ise dispose of property f~~r the purposes set forth and described in I.C. ~6-7-Id; and WHEREAS, the Commissioners have the authority under LC. ~6-7-14-8(c) to adopt such rules and by-]avvs as they consider necessary tier the proper conduct of their proceedings and the carrying out of their duties and the safc~~uarding of money and property placed in their custody: and WHEREAS. the Commission enters into contracts, hom time to time. avith title companies. appraisers, surveyors. and cnyironmental contractors so as to better understand the suite of title and condition of real estate in ~~~hich it has a current or prospecti~ c interest to assist it in accomplishing its duties: and WHEREAS, the Commission ~aishcs to delegate to the staff of the Rcdeydopment Commission the authority to originate certain contracts «~ith title companies. appraisers. surveyors, and environmental contractors subject to specific conditions and limitations. and subject to ratification by the Commission. NOW. THEREFORE.
