Ii
SpU7N BN
OF ,Phiil;ln O
Department of
• Community
Investment
Memorandum
October 22, 2013
TO: Redevelopment Commission
FROM: David Relos, Economic Resources "
SUBJECT: Resolution No. 3179 & Addendum to the Master Agency Agreement —
Amendment # 1, Crooked Ewe Sidewalk Project
This Resolution and Amendment to the Addendum to the Master Agency Agreement
are to support the redevelopment of the old VFW property along the 1000 block of
Lincoln Way East (LWE) into the Crooked Ewe Brewery & Ale House.
For public safety measures, this project will install new sidewalk, curbing, and an
approach along the north side of LWE.
Currently there are no sidewalks or curbing along the parking area fronting LWE. This
project will widen the sidewalk, add only one approach to better define an entrance / exit
in to the parking area, and installs a 6" curb along the front of the property.
On September 12 the Commission approved an Addendum to the Master Agency
Agreement, to have the Board of Public Works (BPW) oversee this project, and to set a
budget of $40,000.
On October 17 the BPW opened quotes to complete this work, and to be able to award
the project, we need to increase the budget approximately $12,000. For contingency
reasons, staff requests an increase of $15,000 to allow for unforeseen conditions.
Staff requests approval of Resolution No. 3179 and Amendment # 1 to the Addendum
to the Master Agency Agreement, in a not -to- exceed amount of $55,000.
227 W.
