<br />TO THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
<br />You are hereby notified that-under and by virtue of the authority by law vested in me
<br />as Mayor of the City of South Bend, of the State of Indiana, a Special Meeting of the Common
<br />Council of -said City is-hereby called at the hour of 5:00 o'clock P. M. on Tuesday, March
<br />21st 1933, or as soon thereafter as convenient, For the Purpose of considering Resolutions
<br />making temporary loans from General Fund of the City of South Bend, Indiana, to Park Board,
<br />Aviation Commission, Police Pension Fund.'

<br />24RESOLUTION. INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMAN JNO. 0. HISS. -
<br />WHEREAS, because of delinquencies in the paymwnt of taxes and because of a moratorium on banks
<br />and the closure of banks in which funds of the Department of Public Parks are deposited, said
<br />Department is-in need of funds for the payment.-of current expenses in the sum not exceeding
<br />#1,094.90 and '
<br />WHEREAS, There is money in the Generaml Fund of the City of South Bend which money is availabl
<br />and can be loaned unto them said Department of Public Parks with which said Department can mee
<br />its said current obligations,
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, -
<br />be it RESOLVED` that the Municipal City of South -Bend, Indiana, make a temporar
<br />loan out of its General Fund to the said Department of Public Parks in the sum of not exceedin
<br />#`1,094.90 for during and until and not later t74an May 15, 1933 within which time said Departm
<br />of Public parks shall repay the said sum so loaned unto the said City.
<br />On Motion of Councilman -Goetz the Resolution -was adopted. Motion carried.
<br />RESOLUTION. INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMAN EARL S. GUSTIN.
<br />WHEREAS, Because of delinquencies in the payment of taxes and because of a moratorium on banks
<br />the closure of banks in which funds of the Aviation Commission are deposited, laid Commission
<br />need of -funds for,the payment of current expenses in the sum not exceeding #2 :941.50; and
<br />WHEREAS, There is money in the General Fund of the City of South Bend which.money is available
<br />a-an be loaned unto the said Aviation Commission with which said Commission can meet its said
<br />current obligat ionupt
<br />NOW THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED that the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, make a temporary
<br />loan out of its General Fund to the said Aviation Commission in the sum not exceeding #21941.F
<br />for during and until and not later than May 15, 1933 within which timex said Commission shall
<br />repay said sum so loaned unto the said City.
<br />2h On Motion of Councilman Hiss The Resolution was adopted. Motion carried.
<br />RESOLUTION. INTRODUCED BY- 00UNCILMAN GROVER D. WHITEMAN.
<br />WHEREAS, because of delinquencies iunthe payment of taxes and because of a moratorium on bank
<br />the closure of banks in which funds of "the Police Pensionfund are deposited, said Pension Funs
<br />in need of funds for the payment of current expenses in the sum of not exceeding #553054; and
<br />WHEREAS, There is money in the General Fund of the City of South Bend which is,available -And c
<br />loaned unto the said Police Pension Fund with -which said Pension Fund man meet its said currex
<br />obligations,
<br />NOW THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED that the Munici.pal.City of South Bend, Indiana, make a temporary
<br />out of its General Fund to the said Police Pension Fund in the sum not exceeding #853.54 d fol
<br />during and until and not later than May 15, 1933, within which time said Pension Fund shall r(
<br />the said sum so loaned unto the said City.
<br />On Motion of Councilman Whiteman the Resolution was adopted. Motion carried.
<br />On Motion of Councilman Oakley the Council adjourned at 5:25 o'clock P. M. Motion carried.
