East Res. <br />*Funds are subject to the City Controller's determination of availability; if funds are unavailable, as solely determined by the City Controller, <br />then the authorization of the expenditure of such funds shall be void and of no effect. <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: <br />This budget request is for $180,000 for the design of the College Street Improvement project consisting <br />of street paving, raised intersection and sidewalk replacement. <br />SPECIFICS: <br />The budget request is for the design of College Street Improvement from Lincolnway West to Linden <br />Avenue. The proposed project includes a variety of pedestrian, roadway, and streetscape improvements <br />along the College Street and Lincolnway corridors. Work will include design of new sidewalks, curbs, ADA - <br />compliant curb ramps, drainage enhancements, and street lighting upgrades along the east side of College <br />Street between Lincolnway West and Linden Avenue and on the south side of Lincolnway West from <br />College Street to Wilber Street. <br />The project will be done in coordination with the Coal Line Trail Phase III project and will link Coal Line <br />Phases II and III. Both this project and the Coal Line Phase III project were included in the Kennedy Park <br />Neighborhood Plan. <br />It is requested that the Redevelopment Commission approves $180,000 from River West TIF for the design <br />of the College Street Improvement project.
