� C' (►) <br />SOUTH BR <br />04 \Ih ICI /i�NQ <br />F� %o Department of <br />yz Community Investment <br />1865 <br />Memorandum <br />May 9, 2013 <br />TO: Redevelopment Commission <br />FROM: David Relos, Economic Resources Associate' <br />SUBJECT: Resolution No. 3138 - Appointment of Aaron Perri to the Development Design <br />Review Committee <br />The Development Design Review Committee is composed of nine members, five appointed <br />by the Redevelopment Commission and four by virtue of their position (City Engineer, City <br />Building Commissioner, Director of the St. Joseph County Area Plan Commission, and the <br />Director of the Division of Redevelopment). <br />There are three Development Design Areas. They are: South Bend Central, Studebaker <br />Corridor, and the Airport Economic Development Area. The boundaries of the Design Review <br />Areas are the same as the Development Areas as established by the Redevelopment <br />Commission. <br />These areas have design guidelines established by the Commission. Any exterior <br />improvements in these areas need to conform to those guidelines. If improvements are <br />proposed which are not consistent with the guidelines, they are referred to the Review <br />Committee, which can waive the guideline requirements if appropriate. <br />Staff requests approval of Resolution No. 3138, to allow the appointment of Aaron Perri, <br />Executive Director of DTSB, to the Development Design Review Committee. <br />227 W.
