(P 1-(1) <br />SOU7N BB <br />Department of <br />Community Investment <br />secs <br />Memorandum <br />March 14, 2013 <br />TO: Redevelopment Commission <br />FROM: David Relos, Economic Resources Associate <br />SUBJECT: Master Agency Agreement Addendum & Resolution No. 3123 <br />Williams Streetscape Project <br />Attached to this memorandum are Resolution No. 3123 and an Addendum To Master <br />Agency Agreement for the Williams Streetscape Project. This project will remove and <br />replace cross walks, curbing, sidewalks, and tree lawns along the west side of William <br />Street between La Salle and Washington. <br />The Commission currently owns the old Basic Machine property at the southwest corner <br />of La Salle and William. The sidewalk along this half block site has been slowly sinking <br />for several years. The project will address this problem, and includes new tree lawns to <br />match the east side of William Street. <br />As part of the project, new ADA compliant cross walks will be installed at the <br />intersections of La Salle, Colfax, and Washington. This work compliments the recently <br />announced City of South Bend ADA Transition Plan. <br />Funding for this project is from the WWCDA, with an estimated cost of $130,000, and <br />will be overseen by the City's Engineering Department. <br />Staff requests approval of Resolution No. 3123 and the Addendum To Master Agency <br />Agreement, for the Williams Streetscape Project. <br />227 W.
