JONES CITY CLERK, SOUTH BEND, IN <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />COMMUNITY INVESTMENT <br />August 22, 2023 <br />Ms. Sharon McBride <br />President, South Bend Common Council <br />4th Floor County City Building <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />Re: A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CllY OF SOUTH BEND, IN DIANA, APPROVING <br />AND ADOPTING THE MONROE PARK I EDGEWATER NEIGHBORHOOD PLAN <br />Dear President McBride: <br />Scheduled on the Common Council's agenda for August 28th is a resolution, approving and adopting the <br />Monroe Park I Edgewater Neighborhood Plan. <br />The Monroe Park and Edgewater Neighborhoods are adjacent to downtown South Bend and is roughly <br />bounded by Jefferson Boulevard to the north, the St. Joseph River to the east, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. <br />Boulevard -Michigan Street to the west, and Sample Street to the south. The City of South Bend <br />developed this plan through a process that engaged residents, businesses, institutions, government <br />agencies, and other neighborhood stakeholders. <br />The Monroe Park I Edgewater Neighborhood Plan was approved and adopted by the South Bend Plan <br />Commission on August 21, 2023.
