toitunittu deport <br /> ermon e ani final= +mmittt <br /> The January 8, 2001 meeting of the Personnel and Finance Committee was called to order by its <br /> Chairperson Council Member James Aranowski at 5:08 p.m. in the Council Informal Meeting <br /> Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members Aranowski, Pfeifer, King, Varner, Ujdak, and <br /> Kirsits, Isabelle Gonzalez, Citizen Member; Ken Fedder, Dennis Freeland, Terry Bland of the <br /> *QUO Oatti trittunt,and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, Council Attorney. <br /> Council Member Aranowski noted that the first item on the agenda was to review Bill No. 01-2 <br /> which is an inducement resolution for Goodwill Industries of Michiana, Inc. Project for 1805 <br /> Western Avenue and 1904-1906 Ireland Road. <br /> Attorney Ken Fedder introduced Mr. Dennis Freeland of Goodwill Industries to the Committee. <br /> Mr. Fedder noted that there would be no personal liability by the City of South Bend or its officers <br /> if this matter would be approved. He noted that the project would be approximately $ 16 million. <br /> Construction on Western Avenue should begin in March and the Ireland Road operation should be <br /> open by June of 2001. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member King made a motion, seconded by Council Member <br /> Varner that Bill No. 01-2 be recommended favorably to Council.
