tommftttt .sport: <br /> Parks and Recreation Committee <br /> l0 the QCOmm01% QCOUttttl of Os City of ibotttb 3Btitb: <br /> The March 8, 1999 meeting of the Parks and Recreation Committee was called to order by <br /> its Chairperson, Council Member Charlotte Pfeifer at 4:30 p.m. in the Council informal <br /> meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members: Aranowski, Pfeifer, Kelly, King, <br /> Varner,Ujdak,Hosinski, Coleman, Sniadecki; John Gremlewitz and Kathleen Cekanski- <br /> Farrand. <br /> Council Member Pfeifer noted that the purpose of the meeting was to have discussion on a <br /> national softball/golf tournament. <br /> Mr. John Gremlewitz, Chairman of the Falcons National addressed the Committee. He <br /> noted that on August 10 and 11, 2000, approximately 275 golfers will be coming to the <br /> City. 200 of these golfers will be from out-of-state. They would like to use Elbel and <br /> Blackthorn however affordability has become an issue. They have been quoted $ 30 per <br /> golfer for Elbel and$60 per golfer for Blackthorn. <br /> It was suggested that he contact the Park Board with regard to Elbel and the Blackthorn <br /> management for their golf course. Dr. Varner also suggested they contact Mayor Luecke <br /> and Park Superintendent Phil St. Clair. <br /> Following further discussion,the meeting was adjourned at 4:35 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Council Member Charlotte Pfeifer <br /> Chairperson,Parks and Recreation Committee <br />
