.~ ' <br />• RESOLUTION NO. /y ~- <br />RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT <br />AUTHORITY AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF THE <br />SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY LEASE <br />RENTAL REVENUE REFUNDING BONDS OF 2000 <br />(COLLEGE FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME PROJECT) <br />AND OTHER RELATED MATTERS <br />WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Authority (the "Authority") has been <br />created pursuant to LC. 36-7-14.5 as a separate body, corporate and politic, and as an instrumentality <br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana (the "City"), to finance local public improvements for lease to the <br />South Bend Redevelopment Commission (the "Commission"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Authority intends to issue bonds in an aggregate principal amount <br />• not to exceed Seventeen Million Four Hundred Fifty Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($17,450,000.00) <br />pursuant to I.C. 36-7-14.5-19 and I.C. 5-1-5 to be known as the "South Bend Redevelopment <br />Authority Lease Rental Revenue Refunding Bonds of 2000 (College Football Hall of Fame Proj ect)" <br />(the "Bonds"), the proceeds of which, along with certain cash on hand, are to be used to currently <br />refund the South Bend Redevelopment Authority Variable Rate Demand Lease Rental Revenue <br />Bonds of 1994 (College Football Hall of Fame Project) (the "Refunded Bonds") issued in 1994 to <br />finance (i) certain local public improvements and the costs related thereto, including, without <br />limitation, the construction of the College Football Hall of Fame (the "Project") and (ii) the costs of <br />issuance of the Refunded Bonds; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as <br />amended (the "Code"), the Authority has caused to be published a notice of public hearing regarding <br />• <br />
