 c
;,,"SpU1TH eN
% . Department of
Community Investment
* 7865
Memorandum
Monday, December 10,2012
TO: Redevelopment Commission
FROM: Jitin Kain --
SUBJECT: Resolution # 3112 and Amendment to Master Agency Agreement for Ignition Park
Phase 1B Rough Grading
Attached with this memo is Resolution #3112 and Amendment to Master Agency Agreement for
Ignition Park Phase 1B Rough Grading.
As part of the next Phase of Ignition Park, staff has determined that grading the remainder of the
Ignition Park site is key to setting the stage for the next phase of Infrastructure work as well as
attracting new development.
During Phase 1A of infrastructure work at Ignition Park, a large amount of dirt was excavated from
the Data Realty site as well as from the streets within the Park. Additionally, dirt from the demolition
work on the Underground Pipe and Valve is also present on site. Per the Indiana Department of
Environmental Management, all the dirt must stay on the site if possible given some of the potential
contaminants present in the soil.
The grading plan being developed by BSA LifeStructures will utilize all the dirt currently stored on the
site. An opinion of probable cost from BSA LifeStructures is also attached.
Staff requests appropriation of$530,000 from the AEDA TIF for the grading work and approval of the
Resolution #3112 as well as the Amendment to Master Agency Agreement.
227 W.
