C�J SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY REGULAR MEETING February 15, 2012 1308 County -City Building 10:30 a.m. 227 West Jefferson Boulevard Presiding: Raphael Thomas South Bend, IN 46601 The February 15, 2012 Regular Meeting of the Redevelopment Authority was called to order at 10:30 a.m. by its President, Raphael Thomas. There was a quorum present. 1. ROLL CALL Members Present: Mr. Ray Thomas, President Ms. Carolyn V. Pfotenhauer, Vice President Member Absent: Mr. Jose Alvarez, Secretary Redevelopment Staff: Ms. Elizabeth Leonard Inks, Community & Economic Development Ms. Jenny Hullinger, Recording Secretary 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES a. Approval of the minutes of January 16, 2012 Upon a motion by Carolyn Pfotenhauer, seconded by Raphael Thomas, the Authority approved the Minutes of the Special Meeting of January 16, 2011. 3. NEW BUSINESS a. Certification of the South Bend Redevelopment Authority concerning Insurance and Tax Liability — Blackthorn Golf Course Project. Ms. Pfotenhauer would like to know who has researched these and signed off on them so that the Authority can sign with confidence. Mr. Thomas said he was thinking the same thing. Ms. Inks said she has researched Century Center and Eddy Street Commons. Ms. Inks said she has been in constant contact with Gibson Insurance concerning Eddy Street Commons. The policy expires March 1 and the new one is set to go in place March 2. Ms. Pfotenhauer asked if they automatically go into place and Ms. Inks said they do. The City has no tax liability and all properties are insured. Ms. Pfotenhauer would like to see a better record for them. Ms. Inks said we can provide that. Upon a motion by Ms. Pfotenhauer, seconded by Mr. Thomas, the Authority approved the certification of the South Bend Redevelopment Authority concerning Insurance and Tax Liability — Blackthorn Golf Course Project.
