Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />2. Roll Call <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. John Oxian, Mrs. Martha Choitz, Mrs. Janeanne Petrass, <br />Mr. Odell Newburn, Mrs. Joann Sporleder, Ms. Karen Kiemnec, <br />and Ms. Elizabeth Straw. <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Mr. Michael Beatty, Mrs. Gina DeLaruelle, Mr. Charlie Hayes, <br />and Mr. F. Jay Nimtz. <br />• ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Carlos Medley, South Bend Tribune Reporter; Mr. & Mrs. Marty <br />Kleva, 16479 Brick Road; Mr. Richard Bennett, 1017 Riverside Drive; <br />Mr. J. Edward Talley, 1075 Riverside Drive. <br />3. Riverside Drive Liaison Committee <br />Ms. Kiemnec read a letter from Mr. J. Edward Talley (see Appendix A) requesting <br />a change in rules to allow a renter to serve on the Liaison Committee. The <br />Commission discussed the matter and referred it to the Legal Committee. <br />Mrs. Sporleder recommended that the neighborhood could go.ahead with their vote <br />for the Liaison Committee if they wished to. <br />4. Environmental Impact Statement <br />a. 16479 Brick Road <br />The Commission reviewed Mr. & Mrs. Marty Kleva's plans to develop the property <br />north of their landmark home at 16479 Brick Road. Mr. Newburn made a motion <br />to approve the plans for the new construction as presented provided that <br />neither the new house or the driveway for it come within eight feet of the <br />proposed property line for Lot 2. Considering that the legal description of <br />the property will be changed to exclude Lot 1, 3 & 4, the Commission did <br />not require specifications on the construction of the house. Mr. Oxian seconded, <br />motion passed. <br />
