Bastian absent. <br />Bond and contract sor grade, curb and walk on Ruron Street signed and approved. <br />Signed by Joseph Szweda and approved by the Board. ( Improvement Resolution No. 196.) <br />p/ Insurance was placed for the North and Central Pumping Station and the City Hall <br />Boilers with the Fidelity Casualty Company of New York. <br />Petition for opening of Foster Street North from Howard Street to St. Vincent Street <br />as now platted, by condemnation proceedings. The same was referred to the City <br />kngineer. <br />✓Petition received and read for grade, curb and walk on Niles Avenue from Howard <br />Street to Leepe.r Avenue. The same was referred to the City Civil Engineer. <br />,--'' he Board ordered four (4) Dump Wagons for the Street Department from the Studebaker <br />Corporation. <br />' Resolved, by the City of South Bend, Indiana, through its hoard of Public <br />Works, that whereas the City owns its Sprinkler, Gradey,Sweeper, Garbage Wagons and <br />Dump Wagons for use in the Street of the City , and Whereas, <br />The City of South Beid, for the past year has paid Five (5.00)Do.11ars per <br />day to teams and labor employed in connection with the work, that has been done with <br />the aid of these_ implements.. <br />Therefore, be it Resolved by the Board that the Street Commissioner of <br />the City be ordered to with -hold Twenty Five cents � ' 25) per day from all team owners <br />whoes teams are employed, where the aforesaid implements belongi g to the City are in <br />use, making a flat rate of Four Bollars and seventy five.cents (4.75) the same to date <br />r'rom March lst. 1913. <br />Adopted this 4th. day of F'ebruary,1913. <br />Minutes of the meeting of January 31st. 1913 read an d approved. <br />Acting President. <br />
