It reviews all real, personal and residential tax <br /> abatement requests." <br /> Members: There were four(4) Council Members and one(1) Citizen Member this year <br /> serving on the Committee, namely: <br /> 1. Councilmember Gavin Ferlic, Chairperson <br /> 2. Councilmember Regina Williams-Preston,Vice-Chairperson <br /> 3. Councilmember Oliver Davis, Member <br /> 4. Councilmember Sharon L. McBride,Member <br /> 5.Thomas Villing, Citizen Member <br /> Meetings: Sixteen(14) public meetings were held this year. All Committee minutes and <br /> notices have been posted on the Common Council's website. <br /> The City of South Bend provides several opportunities and resources for residents and businesses <br /> to relocate or expand within the City limits. The Business Toolkit depicted above provides a <br /> summary of such programs and services. The majority of the committee meetings were <br /> scheduled for the purpose of holding public hearings on special land use exceptions, tax <br /> abatement petition requests, and to provide an advisory recommendation back to the South Bend <br /> Common Council.
