Cover in regard to improvements on Chippewa Avenue. Same read and placed on file. The Board of Public Safety met with the' Board and took up the matter of more room for the Bet[ective'Dept.. This matter to be- tsken up with the City Controller in regard to funds for same. . Also matter of testing of fire hydrarfts taken up with with Board /and Mr. J.. W. .Toyne Supt. of City Water •Works was present dnd discussed this matter. City Cemetery Sexton filed f ina.nc ial -report for the month of Feb. 1917. The following notice was received from the City Controller. By order of the auditdrs of the State Board of accounts no warrants far - traveling expenses of members of Boards or city employees will hereafter be drawn by the `City Controller useless accompanied by a statement giving date of minutes containing authorization for such expenditure and ind icat ing the purpose or necessity for such trip. Vouchers must also be accompanied by receipts for each item or expenditure incurred, except railroad fare, and no item will be allowed unless accompanied by such receipt. Other kinds of incidentals expenditures such, for instance, as purcjhaase of street car t-ickets or any expense of employees, authorized by Boards must be accom- panied by receipts or other definite evidence of the expenditure South Bend, Indiana U.
