<br />On motion duly made and seconded , the following preamble and resole-
<br />✓ t ions adopted:
<br />WHEREAS, The Board of Park Commissioners did on the 19th. day of -
<br />January 1917 deem it expedient and of public utility to permanently improve Corby
<br />Street, between Niles Avenue and tt 'Louis Blvd., by paving the roadway of the same,
<br />and did on said date pass, and adopt resolution authorizing said permanent improve
<br />-
<br />nebt, and
<br />` WHEREAS, ' The City Engineer he`s prepared and filed with phis Board a
<br />report shawing saute, of the service p ipes, mains, conduits, laterals and connections
<br />which are, or will be, ,necessary to accomutodate theabutting property owners with gas
<br />water, heat, steam or any other.produat for which any person, firm -or corporation
<br />has been granted': a franchise far supplying the citizens of South Bend, Indiana, which

<br />by adopted, And be it further Resolved, That it is contemplated by.the Board of.Park
<br />Commissioners to improve Corby"Street from St. Louise Blvd. to Niles Avenueal.l in
<br />said City of South Bend by pavement. 'And it is hereby declared necessary that water
<br />and sewer connections should be made in accordance with the improvement as above des-
<br />cribed, which connections shall b made by the property owners or upon failure to so
<br />do shall be made in accordance with Ordinance No. 1842 of the City of South B.end,Ind.
<br />passed by the Common Council July 24th.ml916, presented to the and signed by the Maya
<br />July 25th.1916,published in afternoon edition of the News -Times July 251916 and Aug
<br />lst.1916 and that -it is, and is hereby declared neceasa�o-r----the -Northern Indiana;
<br />Gas and Electric Company, which has, and operates under, a franchise from said City b
<br />supply as to the citizens of said city and for the owners of the property to rovide.

<br />aald..street, of the description, location and number set forth in said report of said
<br />City Engineer,, which mains, service pipes and connections are hereby declared nee-
<br />essary for the immediate use of said Company in supplying gas to the owners of pro-
