The City does not currently have any dedicated storm water funds, however, we have a tremendous need for improvements to our storm infrastructure. Given the increasing intensity of storm events that we have witnessed lately, this funding source is more important now than ever before. The Common Council passed an expense and revenue budget for Fund 667(Storm Sewer Fund) for 2019. The attached ordinance is the enabling ordinance that will allow us to start billing and collecting the revenues as contemplated in the approved budget. We have included a start date of June I, 2019 as this will give us time to set up the billing. I will present changes to the ordinance at the committee meeting on 11/12/18.
