' <br />Dear Sirs: - <br />The assessment roll for th paving 'of Michigan Street from South St. <br />to La Salle Ave. includes two items for which there were no bids in the original <br />contract with the 1Gstern Canstruction Company.* These two items are the curb <br />and gutter inlets which were installed at the northeast dad the northwest corner <br />of Michigan At. and Washington Ave. in place of the regular flat inlets, aid the <br />cement walk repair work, which consisted of extending the walk '>out to the new <br />curb line, due to the great irregularity in the old curb line. <br />The ptteo of the curb and gutter inlets is $ 8.50 each, and the price <br />for' extending the sidewllk to the back of the new curb is 12 cents a lineal foot. <br />Respectfully submitted, _ <br />Frederick J.
