On December 13, 2011, the Commission approved a first amendment to the Agreement between the Commission and Memorial Hospital, which replaced the planned reconfiguration of the Main / Michigan Street "S" curve with three other projects, including new facades for the Skyway Bridge and Skyway Building. This plan amendment staged the projects by year, and assigned budgets for work to be completed through 2015, when the Central Medical District Development Area ends. Also on December 13, 2011, the Commission approved a professional services agreement with the Troyer Group, to finalize facade designs, prepare construction bid specs, construction oversight, etc. This Addendum between the Board of Public Works and the Commission covers facade work on the Skyway Bridge and Skyway Building. This work will help tie the Memorial Hospital campus into a unified look, will make a dramatic entrance corridor into the downtown core, and compliment the work that has recently been completed north of La Salle between Michigan and Lafayette. Staff requests your approval of Resolution No. 3009, and the Addendum to the Master Agency Agreement, in the amount of $2,100,000. What We Do Today Makes A Difference!
