Board met in regular seas, ion a 10:00 A.M. All members present. The following petition was received rea dna d placed on file. P E T I T I 0 N. S out h Bend , Ind Tana January 20,1920. To the Board of. Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana. Gentlemen:.. ° We the unders igned residents and property owners con Calvert Street from Michigan Street to High Street in the City of South Bend having; been called into the meet ing of the Board of Public_ Wor ke where inj the c ommun icat ion `of the Western Construction Company the contractor under contract to lay a pavement on Calvert Street which c ommunicat ion was dated January 14t4.,1920 and which c ommunteat ion calls for the rec is ion of the said contract on the grounds of unavoidable delay and said matter having been taken up with undersigned property owners, we therefore,, petition the Board to rest ind, the present contract dated April 30,1919 and to immedi- ately start a new res olut ion for the pavement of Calvert Street between Michigan Street and High Street and obtain new b ids upon the same type of pavement as in the former contract.
