Public Works <br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Gentlemen:.. ° <br />We the unders igned residents and property owners con Calvert Street from <br />Michigan Street to High Street in the City of South Bend having; been called into <br />the meet ing of the Board of Public_ Wor ke where inj the c ommun icat ion `of the Western <br />Construction Company the contractor under contract to lay a pavement on Calvert <br />Street which c ommunicat ion was dated January 14t4.,1920 and which c ommunteat ion <br />calls for the rec is ion of the said contract on the grounds of unavoidable delay <br />and said matter having been taken up with undersigned property owners, we therefore,, <br />petition the Board to rest ind, the present contract dated April 30,1919 and to immedi- <br />ately start a new res olut ion for the pavement of Calvert Street between Michigan Street <br />and High Street and obtain new b ids upon the same type of pavement as in the former <br />contract.
