On October 11, 2011 the Redevelopment Commission approved a proposal from BSA LifeStructures, Inc. to develop the second phase of the infrastructure design work (1 B) with Phase 1A initiated on July 26, 2011. Design development fees for 1 B were approved at $335,000. The scope of Phase 1 B includes the design of: • Entrance boulevard from Sample Street to the Circle • Two pedestrian boulevard from the Northeast and Northwest portions of the site into the Circle. • The remainder of the Circle in the center of the 84 acre Ignition Park site. • Utility infrastructure in the site to include power, communication, water, sewer and storm water management. • Green ecosystem elements and phasing The attached Resolution and Addendum to the Master Agency Agreement will allow the Board of Public Works to engage in design development discussions and assist BSA with project bidding, award contacts and manage infrastructure construction to completion.
