The Addendum also includes a professional services proposal from Abonmarche to complete the design and engineering plans related to this project. By way of project history, when Blackthorn was designed in the 1990's, it was always intentioned that a sidewalk would be created throughout the corporate park as development occurred. The decision was made that a sidewalk would be installed in the park when a critical mass of development was reached, and it would be the requirement of each site owner to allow for the installation of a sidewalk at the appropriate time. Over the next several weeks, as part of the Mayflower sewer construction project, the City will be disturbing a large section of right -of -way that is delineated on the attached map. As a way to protect the sewer investment and to allow future access to the sewer corridor, and also as a means to provide a safe walking path from Moreau Court to the entrance of the Blackthorn Golf Course, this is a very opportune time to construct a 8' wide multi -use path on the south side of Nimtz Parkway. Abonmarche, the designers of the sewer project, have most of the site information necessary for the project design and will engineer a trail through this Phase 1 corridor. Construction of the walk could be done this fall as part of the restoration work of the construction path. The professional service proposal is in the amount of $38,800.00 and a detailed engineering estimate will be created as part of the project design.
