F <br />ff__ <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />Regular meeting of tho. board of Public Safety was held an Tuesday <br />Xanuary 16th' 1934. (The meeting was postponed to Tuesday from Monday <br />due to the Boardta attendance of the'funeral of John GrZeskowiak, father <br />of Stephen Grzeskowiak, Sixth Ward Councilman.) <br />Owing to the resignation of Mr. C.'A. Budd, Chairman, tendered to the <br />Mayor and accepted by him January.15th, the meeting was conducted by <br />Mr. Valentine J. Gadacz, Vice-President with Mr. Wm.'H. Trost, Jr. <br />in attendance. The meating,was called to order at 9:30 A. M. <br />The Board approved bills in t <br />follows: <br />06855 06899 06902 06819 02621 <br />06924 06945 06178 06948 06271 <br />06824 06868 06914 06815 06238 <br />09171 09158 09156 09162 09179 <br />Also the following claims: <br />he sum of $749.17, bearing requisitions as <br />02607 02618 02609 06972 06947 06957 06959 <br />06272 06687 06955 06916 06935 06932 06918 <br />06915 06213 06922 06730 06975 09164 09155 <br />09177 09178 <br />South Bend Clinic July & August, 1931 $37000 <br />South Bend X Ray Laboratory Mar. 23 & June 3, 1932 30,00 <br />South Bend X Ray Laboratory Sept. 199 1931 5100 <br />South Bend X Ray Laboratory Oct. 19, 1930 10.00 <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT: <br />Fire Chief, Roy Knoblock, was present and the activities of .his depar.t- <br />ment were discussed. <br />The applications of Ike Gondeck and John Charles oberle were approved <br />and ordered placed on file. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT: <br />Tii*f of Police, Tohn B. Kuespert, reported the activities of hie depart- <br />-Ment. <br />Officer Kodhanowski presented the gasoline report for th-e. month of <br />December. <br />The application of Wm. Mizell was approved and ordered placed on file. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT: <br />'Wm. F. Qualls, Superintendent, was present and discussed the activities <br />of his department. <br />Upon request from the Studebaker Corp. the Board instructed Mr. Qualls <br />to move the traffic signal now located at Lafayette & Tutt Sts. to <br />Bronson & Lafayette Sts. <br />An overhead traffic signal at the corner of Madison & Eddy Street$ was <br />Approved. <br />Mr. Francis Book, radio station operator, filed report on his test <br />of the frequencies of the radio station.. <br />WEIGHTS & MEASURES: <br />The weekly report of Charles X.
