85� <br />JANU!Rt 8, 1934 <br />Regular meeting of the Board of Public. Safety was held on Monday, <br />January 8th, 1934. <br />Meeting called to order by Mr. C.A. Budd, President at 9:00 A. M. <br />All members present. <br />The Board approved bills in the sum of $246.61, bearing requisiti6n- <br />numbers as-follows: <br />06973 06892 06847 06820 06927 06960 06923 06818 06929 06399 06740 <br />06321 06850 06894 06896 06934 06773 06825 06389 06177 06395 06937 <br />06283 06926 06180 06097 06444 06879 06836 <br />Also the following claim: <br />South Bend Glean Towel Service - December account $1.00 <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT: <br />Fire Chief, Roy Knoblock, was present, reported the activities of his <br />department for the week and submitted his December fire loss report <br />and his yearly report which were accepted and placed on file. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT: <br />Chief of _Police,, John B. Kuespert was present and reported on the <br />activities of his department for the week and submitted his yearly <br />report which was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />The Board examined samples of policements caps furnished by the <br />Wash-A-Bill Cap Co. After making a selection., on motion of Mr. <br />Trost and seconded by Mr. Gadacz, it was unanimously agreed that <br />all policemen' ' equip themselves with the particular style selected, <br />and instructed the Clerk to obtain head sizes from all the force <br />preliminary to ordering the caps. <br />The Board accepted the resignation of M. Barany effective Jan. 1,''1934. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT: <br />Superintendent 'W.*F. Qualls was present and reported the activities <br />of his department for the week. <br />The Board instructed Mr. Qualls to put up "No Admittance" signs to <br />the radio operating room and further instructed him that no one, <br />whatsoever, should gain admittance to such operating room unless <br />;with the full knowledge and consent'of the Superintendent. <br />WEIGHTS & MEASURES: <br />The weekly report of City Sealer, Charles J. Burnsi was examined and <br />ordered placed on file. The yearly report, was submitted, examined and <br />filed. <br />DOG POUND DEPARTMENT: <br />.The.yea ly report of the Dog Pound was submitted.. examined and ordered <br />placed on file. <br />The meeting adjourned at 12:00 Noon and reconvened at 3:00 P.
