The regular meeting of, the Board of Public Safety was held in the 241 <br />Boards Office�Zonday` April" 4tYi:' ; 9'7 <br />Meeting was ca=ed to order at P.,. by, Pres. Engel.drum I <br />Tvir.. Reeder was not present. <br />Motion prevailed to dispense with the reading of the minutes of last <br />regular meeting. <br />IRE DEI T . <br />Bills #3 to were approved and ordered paid. <br />Chief Knoblock reported that the New =r� 9 Fire Station in River Park <br />would be ready for service on April 16th., and` a motion prevailed thAt <br />the # 9 Station be put in service on Sat. April 16th., and the Station <br />be opened for JJ# inspection by the public on Sunday April 17th. <br />on motion of Mr. Nicely and .seconded by Mr. Rngeldrum Lieutenants James. <br />Scott, and Louis Ledered. were promoted to the rank of Captains, and <br />Firemen Henry F. Brandley, and Hinton Sroda were promoted to the rank of <br />Lieutenants effect &ve April 16th., 1927. <br />On motion of Mr. Nicelyand a second by fir. Engeldrum Ellward Niezgodzki, <br />and Frank Me Segety were appointed as members of the Fire Dept. effective <br />April- 16th., 1927. <br />ELECTRICAL DEFT. <br />Motion prevailed that the weekly report of Supt. Qualls for the week end - <br />ing April 2nd. be accepted and. ordered. placed on file; also the monthly <br />report of Fire Alarms for the month of March 1927. <br />DEFT. OF °'SIGHTS AND R47EASURES <br />Motion prevailed that the weekly report of City Sealer. Burns for the week <br />.ending April 2nd., 1927 be accepted. and ordered placed on file; also the <br />Monthly report for the month of March 1927. <br />j_"OLICE DEPT. <br />Bills �-� to #, I3v � were 'a-proved and ordered paid. <br />Motion prevailed to appr4:ttethe Official Bond of Asst. Chief John Be <br />Kuespert naming John Be Kuespert as principal and National Surety Co of <br />New York City as,,,surety. <br />A bill of 100.07�presented_ to the Board by Drs. R.F. and E.L. Lucas for <br />professional services rendered to Blase Jaskowiak a police prisoner on <br />August 23rd. 1924. <br />Motion prevailed that the Clerk be instructed to :Hake an investigation of <br />this claim, and refer the matter to City Attorney Romig. <br />Meeting adjourned at 4 :50 P.1l. <br />Attest. Chief Kuespert and <br />Sergt. Hosinski for the efiecient way in which they handled traffic at <br />the funeral of Clarence M. Fleck on .April 8th.
