Arr"4 ;kry' <br />TAONDW JAN.11 - Regular meeting held in the Board of 'Safety <br />Office at 4 p.m. All members present. <br />Requisitions presented by Fire Chief Knoblock «►ere approved. <br />Motion preval &d to appoint Irvin W. Sibrel a Captain of the <br />fire department and to draw a Captains pay from noon Jan.4. His leave <br />of absence was also extended until Monday at his own request. <br />Reports of the Electric Dept. and 'le.ight's and Measures <br />Dept. were ordered placed on file. <br />Motion prevaled to promote T,awrence J. T,ane to the rank of <br />. , Captain - and to draw the pay of this rank from tJan.4th. noon. Captain <br />Dane to be assigned to the day shift in the Capatins office and <br />Captain Cordier to assume the evening shift. Captain Chththh Bunker <br />assigned to the Detective department and his hours to be from 8 a.m. <br />to 4 p.m* <br />Motion prevailed for the issuance of special badges to <br />O.D.Yise,dity sexton,!Y.S.O1er,�V.O. and Ed.Rassler, food inspector. <br />On motion of Mr. Reeder the Clerk was instructed to communicate <br />with the City Atty. and report on the present Fire Corks ordinance at <br />the next meeting. <br />Motion prevailed to defer the purchase of an air compressor <br />for the Police Deft. until a later date. <br />Motion prevailed to secure data and make a report 'at a future <br />meeting regarding the; standardization of traffic signal usage. <br />Mot on preva.lied to provide six suits of union alls for <br />motorcycle police who repair their own machines. <br />Motion prevailed instructing Chief of Police Hatt to secure <br />data on Tribune Broadcasting station. <br />Motion prevailed to table.a mommunication asking that <br />Insurance adjustors be provided with special badges . <br />Motion prevailed ordering a slow sign erected -at LaPorte Ave <br />:end T ine.o0lnway. <br />Applications of, the following men for the Police Dept. were <br />ordered placed on file.-- Mickey Donahue,Steve Nemeth,Clarence Dunbar, <br />Michael Nugent,�.O.Hohnson,Josevh Zigler, and Elmer Reynolds. <br />Application of J.J. Haut was approved for the Police Dept. <br />Applications of the following men were approved for the <br />Fire'Dept. and ordered placed on file:George Erommoder,Joseph O'Connor, <br />Clarenc A.- Wills,Oliver Hensel,John Frosna,i'aul,Helmick,Curtis Turnock, <br />Sylvester Fubiak,Edmund Szloweski,Paul Ylowether, Jerome Yostic,ley, <br />Frank 12.
