146 FridayMay 16th 1924 Off ice,, of the Board of Public Safety, <br />meeting called to order at 5 P. M. All members being present, <br />minuSies of.ppevious,meeting were read and. approved. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT:- <br />REQUISITIONS PRESENTED AND AERROVED. <br />748 to `749 inclusive were approved,. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT:-' <br />Supt. Qualls presented weekly report for the week ending May <br />16th. 1924. <br />Motion prevailed that a Fire Alarm box be installed at the corner <br />of Soria St, and Niles Ave. upon which Mr. Qualls preported favorable. <br />WEIGHTS & MEASURE DEPARTMENT: - <br />Reed I. Haw$Thorne, presented. weekly report for the week ending <br />May 16th. 1924. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT : - <br />REQUISITIONS PRESENTED & .APPROVED. <br />1455 to 1483 t,4nclt sive were approved. <br />Sergt. Delinski and detective E. Baxter, appeared before the <br />' Board and were requested to explain the automible accident they had <br />with the Ford louring car on May 11th. at 5 P. M. and after being <br />requested to explain same they were exonerated. <br />= Motion prevailed that the following named applications for <br />positions in the Police Department, Fred Ullery, John Hilinski, <br />were orederd placed on file. <br />Lotion; prevailed that the purebb►se of new tire for the White <br />Patrol, be deferred for one week. <br />Paul A? M. All members being present, <br />minutes of previous meeting were rdad and approved. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT • -m BILLS PRESENTED & ALLOWED. <br />Vouchers numbered 692 to 714 inclusive were allowed. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT:- <br />BILLS PRESENTED & ALLOWED. <br />Vouchers numbered 1388 to 1396 inclusive were approved. <br />REQUISITIONS PRESENTED &: APPROVED. <br />179 Lumber. 203- Supplies 204 -- Supplies. 205 -- Tile. 206 -- Supplies. <br />Supt. Qualls, presented weekly report for the week ending <br />May 23rd.. 1924. <br />Lotion prevailed that the petition for the Fire Alarm box to <br />be insatlled at the corner of Dale ave. and Dunmoyer,ave, was rejected <br />on the report received from Chief Sibrel and Supt. Qualls. <br />Motion prevailed that all Moving contractors be (instructed to <br />notify Mr. Qualls, office of all building to be moved upon the streets, <br />stating time they are to be moored and upon what streetb they move <br />inorder to protect the Police & Fire Alarm wires. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT: - <br />REQUISITIONS PRESENTED & APPROVED. <br />Numbers 1484 to 1508 inclusive were approved. <br />BILLS PRESENTED & .ALLOWED. <br />Vouchers numbered 1397 to 1433 inclu.siver were allowed. <br />Motion prevailed that the application of Harry H. Henderson, <br />for reinstatement as a member 06 the police Aepartmehat was ordered <br />placed on file. <br />Motion prevailed that the followingapplications for positions <br />in*the Police Department were accepted and ordered placed. on file. <br />John H. Au.dert, Ferd P4 Shelenberger, Glenn Beaecker, Frank Jagwiak, <br />and C l aaud a Young. <br />Motion prevailed -.that an order be plaaed with the Taylor Tire <br />Shop, for five (5). 36 x 6 Firestone Cord Tires, at a net cost of <br />T ree Hundred. and Seventeen &dollars �( #317.00} Credit allowed for <br />o ©ld 'tires sixty dollars, l 60.00) <br />
