Attached to the Addendum is a copy of the professional services proposal from Christopher B. Burke Engineering LTD. to provide project design services for the development of schematic drawings and right-of-way plans for the development of the Ireland Road corridor from Fellows to Miami with focus on the High Street intersection. Over the last several years, the City has made several major infrastructure improvements on the south side like intersection improvements at Ireland & Miami, road reconstruction of Ireland from Michigan west, and reconstruction of Michigan from the Bypass to Chippewa. One section of roadway that has been identified for study is the section of Ireland from Miami to Fellows with study of the intersections of Ireland & High and Ireland & Fellows. A related component to this project is the Erskine Plaza Pond project which will help alleviate flooding and water drainage issues in this corridor. Because of the success of the Erskine Commons site and the overall health of the TIF Allocation Area in the South Side Development Area, funding will be available over a period of years to complete this project and create new development sites, improve infrastructure and circulation within this section of the development area. The next step in the process for this project is to complete survey and schematic drawings and right- of-way plans to assist in the design of infrastructure improvements in this corridor.
